Daytona 500

The Daytona 500 was today and had an amazing finish. The race was also a memorial race because 10 years ago, we lost Dale Earnhardt in the 2001 Daytona 500 on the very last lap. It started with being the first race for the cup on the new asphalt. Then it was the first race for the 2 car drafts. This 2 car draft works better on the new asphalt than the old draft. The race had a silent lap 3 in memory of Dale Earnhardt. The race made new records being the most lead changes and most cautions in a Daytona 500 race. In the end, It was Trevor Bayne who won the Daytona 500. This was only his second sprint cup race and hsi first time at Daytona. All in all, I though it was a good race with an incredible finish. Great Job by Trevor Bayne and the whole Wood Brothers racing team.

Website Design

SO, I had to design my website today. It was a lot of reading and understanding where to place everything. It took me a couple of times to get the information in the right places on the first try. I guess I was just thinking about it too much. Then I had to place more information in other places. Then I had to put that information onto my website. After I had all of the letters and words in the right places, it was fun playing around with the different styles and colors. I only hope I can remember all of the ways of changing the styles for future assignments.

New Race Team for 2011

I have just learned that I will be joining a new race team for 2011. I will be joining the crew of the #25 Modified Racing Series team. Well, my dad will be joining the crew. I will be joining the "crew." I don't know how much help I will bring, but I am happy to be with a new team. The owner is Gary Casella and the driver is Rowan Pennink. They have been friends of ours for around 3 years now. Last year we were just associated with the 25 team. Now I can officially say we are apart of the team. This is a good start to the 2011 season.

Internet and Communication

Internet has changed the way we communicate with one another. Because of the internet, people can chat with other people across the country that doesn't cost them anything. If someone had to call someone across the country, they would have to have long distance calling. Now, many people can just email or post of someone's facebook to communicate. We can now relate to one another more when on social networks. People can find friends that have the same interests and find more friends to talk to about differnt hobbies.
I believe that the intenet has brought us closer to friends and family. I know I talk to many family members on the internet more than I see them in person. The same with friends too. After high school, I don't see my friends as often and now talk on the internet and see how they are doing.
In this economy, many people do not have the money to fly across the country or drive long distances in order to see their family. Skype is great for that purpose. Traveling long distances is costly and skype is not.
I do not believe that friendship is cheap because we can friend hundreds of people when not knowing who they are in person. You true friends will always know who your true friends are and they know who their true friends are.

Interesting Blog

I found a blog that was of my interest. I am a big car racing fan and I watch the Nascar races everyweek. I came upon this blog called The NASCAR Insiders . This is a blog that will be able to tell anyone what is happenng in the NASCAR world. Recently, the blog posted about the new points system that they are using in 2011. I have not read too much about the change and this blog was able to answers some of the questions I had from reading other websites about the new points system. This blog has all the important facts a real NASCAR fan would want to read. Another example of why this blog is so informative is a blog post they did recently. This blog post was about the contracts of the NASCAR drivers. I did not know whos contract was up at the end of the 2011 season. This blog had that information. I have been on other websites and did not see this information anywhere.
