Daytona 500
The Daytona 500 was today and had an amazing finish. The race was also a memorial race because 10 years ago, we lost Dale Earnhardt in the 2001 Daytona 500 on the very last lap. It started with being the first race for the cup on the new asphalt. Then it was the first race for the 2 car drafts. This 2 car draft works better on the new asphalt than the old draft. The race had a silent lap 3 in memory of Dale Earnhardt. The race made new records being the most lead changes and most cautions in a Daytona 500 race. In the end, It was Trevor Bayne who won the Daytona 500. This was only his second sprint cup race and hsi first time at Daytona. All in all, I though it was a good race with an incredible finish. Great Job by Trevor Bayne and the whole Wood Brothers racing team.
